The del Sol Scholarship in Engineering Leadership Award recognizes a junior or senior student(s) from any engineering discipline who has demonstrated leadership and ethical traits as a student and mentor. The recipient will also have significantly contributed to improving their department, the college, or the university while maintaining an overall minimum GPA of 3.2. Additionally, recipients preferably will also have demonstrated commitment to making meaningful contributions to a pluralistic community and continuation of a diverse student body; sensitivity about and understanding of racial, ethnic, and gender issues in society; learning to better communicate across social lines, gender, race, ethnicity, generation, geography, and class; overcoming educational, social or family disadvantages; academic merit and leadership potential.
Award of this scholarship will be made based on financial need and through the College process for selecting students who have applied for an undergraduate scholarship award.
