Have lunch with an undergrad to share your graduate school experiences!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Office of Graduate Recruiting invites our UF engineering graduate students to have lunch with a current engineering undergraduate student to share information about graduate school.  Our engineering MS and Ph.D. students will be matched with interested undergraduates and provided lunch at Arredondo Cafe<\/a> in the Reitz Union at a time of their choosing. Share details about graduate admissions process, degrees offered, courses, research in labs, available faculty mentors, etc.  The matched graduate student will then work with the undergraduate to schedule a second meeting at a later time to provide a tour of their lab environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fall 2025 Program Dates: Monday, September 8 through Friday, November 21.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arredondo Cafe: <\/strong>Fourth Floor Reitz Union, Open Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Steps for Undergraduate Students: <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  1. Sign up for Lunch and Lab with a Graduate Student here.<\/a><\/u><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Program Coordinator, Dalice Betterson,<\/a> will confirm your program participation and match you with a graduate student in the area of your interest (i.e. Ph.D. in Biomedical  Engineering).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Connect with your graduate student to coordinate your lunch meeting date and time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. During your lunch meeting, take a selfie with the graduate student, schedule a second meeting to visit the graduate student lab.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Complete the post-experience survey and upload your luncheon picture here.<\/a><\/u><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Steps for Graduate Students:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    1. Sign up for Lunch and Lab with a Graduate Student here.<\/a><\/u><\/strong> You will have the opportunity to opt into more than one match. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Program Coordinator, Dalice Betterson,<\/a> will confirm your program participation and match you with an undergraduate student interested in your field (i.e. MS of Electrical and Computer Engineering).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Connect with your undergraduate student to coordinate your lunch meeting date and time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. Come to Weil 215 to receive your lunch voucher and a program card<\/a> from Program Coordinator, Dalice Betterson.<\/a> Please stop by whenever is best for you.  The voucher will be surrendered to the Arredondo Cafe register staff in order for your lunch charges to be processed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    5. During your lunch meeting, schedule a second meeting for the two of you to visit your lab (seek permission from your PI first) or other department facilities; take a selfie with the undergraduate student in the lab or other department location.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
